Is it your first time visiting Georgia and you don’t know, if you rather choose a sweltering region of wine called Kakheti, or the Greater Caucasus mountains? To sightsee some cities, or stroll through a scenic valley? If you don’t have a few weeks to see everything, we have a solution! Go underground and discover amazing stalagmites, stalactites and stalagnates to find out how great the nature’s power of creation is in comparison to human’s. Visit the most important monuments of Georgia, which history reaches the 20^th century B.C. During the whole trip, feast your eyes with some beautiful views, and your stomach with delicious food and more? You will find out how the wine was made 8000 years ago and why the capital is called Tbilisi, taste the famous water Borjomi straight from the spring and see if the shy Kazbek will show up in all it’s glory. Route: Kutaisi – Martvili Canyon – Promoteus’ Cave – Gori – Uplistsikhe – Military Road – Gudauri – Stepantsminda – Truso Valley – Tsminda Sameba – Mtskheta – Jvari – Bodbe Monastery – Sighnaghi – monuments of Kakheti – Tbilisi – Ruisi – Borjomi – Kutaisi

Detailed program:

1. Arrival at the Kutaisi airport. Touring one of the region’s landscape gems – the Martvili Canyon (with a possibility of a boat trip for an extra charge). Lunch break, and then touring a beautifully lit Prometeus’ Cave, which was supposed to become an atomic shelter. Overnight stay near Kutaisi. An evening supra with a folk band.
2. Breakfast and check-out. Drive towards Gori, a town known as the birthplace of the losif Vissarionovich Jughashvili. Tasting a sweet bread in the town of Surami. Touring the ruins of a fortress from the 3^rd century B.C. in Gori or the Museum of Stalin (additional fee). Touring the ancient rock-hewn town of Uplistsikhe. Lunch break. Ride through the breathtaking Georgian Military Road to the popular ski resort Gudauri. Stop at the Anauri fortress, the meeting of the white and black Aragwia and a statue of the Georgian-soviet friendship. Overnight stay provided with dinner.
3. Departure in four-wheel drive cars to the vivid Truso Valley, known for its green fields, mineral springs, colorful travertines and a bubbly mineral lake. Lunch break. Drive to the often illustrated in the postcards Tsminda Sameba Church in Gergeti. Dinner and overnight stay.
4. Breakfast and check-out. Return by the Military Road towards Tbilisi. Touring Mtskheta, the old capital and the place of adoption of Christianity. Lunch break in a Georgian restaurant. Touring the blueprint of every early-christian temples Jvari. Drive to the east of the country to the region of wine – Kakheti. Stopover for wine-tasting in a wine bottling plant in Patardzeuli. Touring the Bodbe Monastery, the burial place of Saint Nino. Accommodation in Sighnaghi, touring the lovely City of Love, dinner in town.
5. Touring the most important monuments of Kakheti, selected monasteries and fortresses. Visit in the local vineyard at our acquainted host. Touring and tasting in the vineyard Chareba, located in the former military shelter. Overnight stay near Telavi.
6. Drive to Tbilisi. All-day touring of the capital (Old Town, district of the sulfur baths, entry by cable car to the Narikala Fortress and the Mtatsminda Hill). Accommodation, dinner in the city.
7. Breakfast and check-out. Touring the Ruisi Cathedral – a witness of some important historical events. Walk through Borjomi – a resort called “The Pearl of Caucasus” with a mineral water spring, spa park and a palace of the tsarist governor Vorontsov. Lunch break. Drive to Kutaisi. Free time in the city. Overnight stay near Kutaisi.
8. Breakfast and check-out. Departure from the Kutaisi airport.

The order of touring the Kutaisi area in depends on the group’s times of arrival and departure.

Price: 520 EUR per person

The price includes:

The place where the trip starts is the airport in Georgia, which means that the guide assistance is provided from Your arrival in Georgia to the moment of the send-off at the airport.

Rules of reservation:

• Contact with us, declaration of your wish to join our trip through the e-mail, agreeing to our terms and conditions
• In case of us cancelling the trip due to the lack of people interested, we return the deposited money.
• The minimum number of participants is 8, and the maximum is 18 in one group.

There is a possibility to change the order of the tour, especially if the group wants to arrive at a different airport (than in Kutaisi). Of course we follow the presented program, just in a different order.
